The Sun Inn, now called Brooks Around The Corner – Mr & Mrs Hannah – OBC 01 Aug 2013 We received information from a customer that the pnewspaper article was incorrect;
The couple in the photo are actually my Grandmother and Grandfather, George Smith (retired police officer from Liverpool) and Mamie Smith who had the pub from the early ’50’s to the early ’60’s. They went on to owning Mamie’s Ladies fashion shop in Oswestry (and the market) through the “60’s. They lived in the Old School House, Bron y Garth. My Mum and Dad, Niall & Eileen Ross, ran the White Horse, from about 1963 – 1969 and we lived in the pub and also owned a cottage in Pant Glas. Ian Ross
