The picture can also be found in taken from Bernard Mitchell’s, ‘Oswestry: A Pictorial History 1850-1950’ and reads “This 1904 Rover 8 h.p. reputed to be one of the first cars in the Oswestry area was purchased by E. J. and H. M. Edwards of Greenbank, Gobowen from T Ellis’ Garage in Salop Road. The Edwards’ family owned the Lodge Brewery, Weston Rhyn and eight local inns.”
