Lodge Gates, Mount Road – Once mistakenly listed as a building of historic significance, the Lodge Gates in Mount Road stand as a reminder of more opulent days. Society has not yet produced a vandal mighty enough to complete the wrecking operation which turned this folly into an eyesore. (Advertiser 13 Mar 1974)
